1. "Cleansing Wash" to Remove Years' Accumulated Dirt

First, scale stains (water spots), iron filings, oil, and other impurities that could not be removed by years of washing are completely broken down and removed using special chemicals that do not damage the paint. Blackening around the emblem and in the details is also carefully cleaned by hand.

2. "Precision Polishing Treatment" to Eliminate Scratches and Dullness

After cleansing, the details are protected with masking tape and the condition of the painted surface is checked under special lighting. When a light was shone on it, the countless swirling scratches (wash scratches) accumulated over years of car washing scattered the light, obscuring the depth of the body's original black (Midnight Black) color.

Assessing the MINI's paint characteristics and the thickness of the clear coat, we carefully proceeded with precise polishing, gradually changing the polisher and compound. By removing scratches and making the painted surface as flat as possible, the dullness disappears, and the surface is awakened to a true mirror-like state where the light source is reflected clearly and without blur.

This area is prone to whitening (oxidative deterioration) due to the effects of ultraviolet rays, but after a special cleaning treatment, a highly durable unpainted resin coating is applied.
